In all of sports, it's not how you start, but how you finish. The Habitual Offenders were given a hard dose of reality Sunday afternoon in Ballard. After annihilating their semi-final opponent Urbanballs 20-3, the HO's were flying high, and ready for the championship bout. However, a fresh legged Snack Packs put an end to their dreams of an upset with their sound, methodical play. The fly balls that dropped for extra base hits for the HO's in their early game were quickly snagged for outs by the athletic Snack Packs. Conversely, the HO's were themselves having trouble reeling in some fly balls, perhaps showing some signs of fatigue. They showed signs of creeping back late, but it was the Snack Packs who held on for the 8-3 victory and the championship win.
