What a season for #TeamLitz! After starting the season in a 1-3 hole (playing a very tough schedule), they caught fire, pulling off 5 straight victories, including wins over the #1 seed in the semifinal and the #2 seed in the championship game to claim the title. Maybe the tough early schedule was all they needed to come together as a team, as the ladies were amazing at catching the football and their defense, lead by Neil T (6 unofficial INT for the day) made for a thrilling finish. The championship game was great from the get-go, as Litz had an early 13-0 lead that was wiped away by 3 late-first half TDs by Blackout, and the score was 19-13 at the half. Litz came out strong, scoring on each possession in the second half and having 2 INTs in the endzone. When it all came down to it, Nick L darted a TD to seal the victory with 40 seconds to go. Great season, guys!
Nick earns this Player of the Week for being an incredible leader on both sides of the ball and coming through when they needed him most. Nick accounted for all 7 TD's as the QB and fired in a bullet with less than a minute to go to put his team ahead for good and walk out of Juanita with the championship.
Isaiah earns this week's Player of the Game for his ruthless tenacity on both sides of the ball, as well as catching the game-winning TD in the waning moments of the game. Isaiah was all over the field from the getgo, grabbing flags and making nice catches, but when it all came down to it, he prevailed over all, jumping and making an amazing TD grab to give his team the edge.
