The weather couldn't have been more cooperative for the closure of the Early Summer Midcore league, and the impressive level of competition on display matched the conditions. The first game between Sets on the Beach and Butt sets was one of the closest games during regular season, but their Final match had even more firepower.
After more than 20minutes and a lot of excitement, Sets on the Beach won the first set with a 21-18 score, but this would get a lot more dramatic. On the second set Butt sets brought everything they got into the court and the game was progressing with alternating points until the very end. All players inside the court were giving their best but when Nelson Beazley started landing killer spikes, there was nothing else Butt Sets could do. Sets on the Beach finished second set with a 28-26 win and became the champion. Congratulations to Nelson, Amy, Matt, Lexy, Kristina and Mark! Hope to see this great volleyball team again next season!
Congratulations to Nelson Beazley for being the player of the week. Nelson's spikes and serves were powerful and precise! He was playing great volleyball and had a good attitude throughout his games, helping his team to get 2 wins and also the championship! Good job out there and hope to see you at our next league!
