The team known as 'Odd Ball Out' emerged victorious after a great season of play on Alki Beach. Spurned by Leah's consistent all-around play & Brian's intimidating blocks & swings at the net, this team nabbed the coveted 1st place finish. 2nd place winners 'Big Money, No Whammies' showed lots of fight with an amazing collective defensive effort...hurling themselves in the sand,, scrapping for each point.
Again, Leah Vreugdenhil proved that she is the player to watch in the Alki Beach League on Wednesdays! Truly an all around player, Leah's strategic serving, spot on passing, & killable sets rocketed her team, Odd Ball Out, to their 1st place finish! Great job, Leah!
An all around dedicated & skilled player. In spite of her size, Leah made smart shots at the net that her opponents found tough to pick up. Her defense was key. Her attitude, upbeat. Great job, Leah!
