Player of the Week is awarded to "R" Mateys own Eric Smith. Eric had the privelidge of playing the hot corner wed night defending third base against the hard hitting Green Machine. It was, however, Eric's own offensive performance that earned him Player of the Week with 4 hard-hit basehits up the middle! Great job Eric!!!
This weeks player of the week goes to Joe Reimer!! Joe earned this honor with his all out play, not worried about getting dirty. He lead his team in scoring, by running the bases like Ichiro! His big play which stopped the opposing teams momentum, was a shot fired his direction at third base where he stabbed the ball out of the air, stealing what would have been a shot to the fence. After this catch he scored, and with that play the opposing team never got another rally going!!! Great Job Joe!
