This week's player of the week is awarded to Christopher Grant from team Last Kid Picked. Tune in to this evening edition of eleven o'clock ESPN and you'll find Chris as a top play nominee with not one, but two award deserving catches! Team Last Kid picked was falling under attack from the barrage of laser beams from Huck's Herniators, but that didn't stop Chris from catching a bullet in his arm pit as he was diving BACKWARDS. Even after hitting the floor Chris managed to keep the ball from touching the floor! However, the following play may as well be the greatest dodgeball catch this official has yet to EVER witness: The ball was delivered by Mark Snyder, considered the league's "Nolan Ryan" if you will, our own
Seattle Express." The ball ricocheted off Chris's chest like most lasers did, floated up and crossed nearly the entirety of the court deemed "in play." Mr. Grant never gave up and caught the ball with a FULLY EXTENDED DIVE. If this literary replay hasn't sunk in yet, let me re-emphasize: Christopher Grant gave a fully extended dive successfully catching the ball on a HARD-WOOD COURT.
Mr. Grant, you most absolutely deserve this week's Player of the Week!!!!
This weeks Player of the Week is awarded to Allison Gifford. Allison went completely Kenji Jojima style and caught every ball thrown her direction. Soft throws: caught. Screaming line drives: caught. It was confirmed afterwards that no illegal substance was applied to Allison's hands and all catches were clean. Even though team Last Kid Picked couldn't pull out the victory, miss Gifford easily took home this weeks Player of the Week award. Congrats Allison!!!
