This weeks POTW goes to our very own superman Dewayne Simpson!
Dewayne stepped up and help Rob and myself set the nets up! He noticed we were struggling and instead of sitting back and watching the train-wreck he stepped in and took control of the situation! Not only did he save the day with the nets, he kept a positive attitude, was joking around with the kids, and was very considerate of the time and helped the transition between sets move smoothly and swiftly!
If you've been in the gym so far this season for the 8:30 game (which is "passed his bedtime"), I'm sure you know who Dewayne is. With an infectious positive attitude, killer dance moves, and a passion for volleyball, he makes his presence known.
Throughout his game tonight, his sportsmanship was off the charts! Clapping and cheering for his team as well as his opponent, Dewayne made the game memorable for all. If you ever what a True Underdog looks like on and off the court, make sure to meet Dewayne!
The first night meeting your teammates can always be awkward...even more so to take the role of Captain within ten minutes of introductions. Corin stepped up to the Volleyball plate and volunteered for the job! She recently moved to Seattle from Portland, and is familiar with the Underdog Way.
With serves and sets to boot, Corin killed it on the court tonight! When you play Indy #V48, make sure to meet Corin, as she truly is what Underdog is all about...oh, and watch out for her swing!
