This season's playoffs were fiercely competitive, and Itsy Bitsy Spikers and Like White on Rice clawed their way into the championship match. Itsy Bitsy Spikers played with their trademark scrappiness and skills, but were defeated in three games by Like White on Rice. The number 7 seed came back from an uneven season and played with poise and skill! Matt and Nick were monsters at the net, while Josh killed the ball with well-placed hits. Audrey was all over the floor, despite an ankle injury the week before, CIndy served up a streak of aces, and Gina held steady with great passing. In the end, the individual and team efforts of Like White on Rice were too much for the Spikers. Congrats to both teams for an exciting and excellent end to the season!
This week's Player of the Week goes to Cindy! Cindy was an essential player in Like White on Rice's championship game. Her serving streaks kept her team alive throughout the match! She had the opposition scrambling to pass her serves and she never succumbed to the pressure of the intense match. Congrats, Cindy, way to get the job done right!
Like White on Rice had a slow start to the match, but they found their rhythm with help from Josh and his killer hits. With big kills from the strong side and the weak side, Josh proved to be a devastating force. His consistency and power were huge keys to winning the match. Keep up the great play, Josh!
