Fall Gentlemen's Flag Football at Seattle Center Sundays

This week, Dan Minamide earns player of the week honors for his all-around excellent performance during his team's matchup on Sunday afternoon. Dan showed off his wheels on both offense and defense, scoring two touchdowns and recording an interception. After the game, when prompted for a POG, Prime Time quickly selected Dan, noting that "he runs a 4.4 40-yard-dash." For his in-game heroics and speed that would make Percy Harvin jealous, Dan is our player of the week.

In what has to be considered an upset, Jared L led The Show to a 46-44 victory over seasoned vets, Malicious. Jared threw 7 TD's, all perfect placements, including the final dagger with 30 seconds to play. He couldn't be touched all day, buying time with his legs and firing dart after dart. The Show has caught everyone's attention, look out Hardcore Men's League!

It was a back and forth game for the majority, which came down to who could score last. Fortunately for Spike Place Market, Chris Mahannah caught a fourth and goal touchdown with only 5 second to play in the right corner of the end zone to put his team up by 2. After a failed deep throw by the Exterminators, Chris's touchdown proved to be the game winner!

On a day of many great games, the Semi-Final matchup between Why You Always Lying (WYAL) and Indy 25 was an instant classic (check ESPN Classic tomorrow for the rerun) that came down to the wire. Both teams were going up and down the field all game long, and ultimately it took til the final play to determine a winner and a seat in the championship game. The scenario- 1st down at the 3 yard line, 5 seconds left. Edgar R runs a great corner route and catches an incredible TD, jumping high over 2 defenders, to send his team to the championship game.
