Marissa Donnelly
Marissa Donnelly
Indy #V58
Marissa was a leader out there tonight as she rallied her team to come back from a 1-0 deficit to start off the game. Marissa made sure that her team would not drop another set. Her hustle was above and beyond anyone else on the court tonight. She made solid passes and really sent some hard hits back to the other side. She knows the game of volleyball and she proved it tonight as she helped lead her team to a 2-1 victory. Look out for these VolleyBrawlers as they will be making some noise this season behind the talents of Marissa!

Sam Douglas
Bus Drivers
You just know you are in for a long day when you have the Bus Drivers on your schedule. Throughout this roster, they are athletic and can really pound the ball. No one does it better than Sam. You can't block him nor can you get up as high as him. If you try to dig his spikes, good luck... but you might be better off just getting out of the way. The hits come hard and fast so beware everyone in this Bellevue league, because Sam will be ready to go every single week.

Great job Sam!

Sam Douglas
Sam Douglas
Bus Drivers
Sam Douglas played awesomely today, his play even with a shorthanded team surely lead his team to the 3-0 win. Sam not only served the ball like a pro, he also was able to spike any ball down at will. Not only that he was basically a brick wall, with all the blocks he got. Just watching him play was a spectacle on its own. But the greatest thing about this game was the enthusiasm and fun shown by both sides. He not only acted as a good team leader by leading his team to victory but by also having the sportsman of a true champ.

Some Spike it HOTTT!
Sam was the man tonight on the serve line. He was hitting the opponents with all kinds of change ups to keep them on their toes. He started off with some floaters over the net with no spin but then cranked hit up a bit and set some balls blazing to the other side. I wouldn't be surprised if Sam was leading this league on aces because no one was getting to his serves tonight.

Great job Sam!

I'd Hit That
Mandi is this week's Player of the Week due to her defense. She covered the whole court from sideline to sideline. There were multiple times that Mandi made plays outside of the court and just put the ball back into play for I'd Hit That's heavy hitters to get an opportunity for points. She doesn't botch any passes and really shows her knowledge for the game.

Great job tonight Mandi!

Set to Kill - Indy #V59
In a tough battle against the top ranked team in the league, Set to Kill came up just short but put up an inspiring fight all game. Though it was a great team effort, Reece led the way with her play and words of encouragement. There is nothing that can bring Reece down as she plays with a sense of emergency on each point. Set to Kill fought tooth and nail tonight. Although this game will be marked in the loss column tonight, Set to Kill as a whole just became a major threat going into playoffs. Great job Set to Kill!

Things that go Bump, Set, Spike in the Night - Indy #V57
Indy 57 brought their "A" game tonight as they got the win in the first round of playoffs. Heading into the semis, they will be leaning on Jason once again after his stellar performance tonight. Jason has a knack for the ball and really showed some great hustle on the court. Whether he had to make the clutch block, pass or spike, Jason always delivered. With his strong play, anything can happen come championship night!

Stephen Leung
Stephen Leung
Volleybrawlers - Indy #V58
On the championship night, Stephen walks out as tonight's Player of the Week. His stonewall defense at the net gave the Volleybrawlers all kinds of opportunities to run up the score. Though he isn't the biggest guy on the court, you better believe he is the most athletic. Stephen was jumping out of the gym tonight as he spiked some massive hits over on the opposition. It's no wonder the Volleybrawlers constantly set the ball to Stephen... he just gets it done.
