Summer Co-ed Kickball at Mountlake Terrace Wednesdays

As the leadoff kicker for Pantsoff Danceoff, Dan set the tone early, getting on base his first three trips to the plate and creating havoc on the basepaths. His efforts helped put Short Bus in a deep hole early, and though they fought back admirably, they could not quite overcome the quick starting victors.

This week's player of the week is awarded to Lindsay Mabee from team Balls 'N' Dolls. In a rare event for the sport of Kickball, Lindsay used strategy to sacrafice her at bat to move the runner into scoring position. With 1 out and a runner on third, the next batter was able to score the runner giving Balls 'N' Dolls an important 2 run lead going into the last inning. Great job playing the game correctly Lindsay!!!

The shift was on. Nursing a 6 run lead, Kick in the Box had moved their centerfielder, Kerry Day a shade toward left-center. And, with the right fielder closely guarding the line, and the rover playing in, that left a huge gap in right-center. Swift Kick had a runner at first with one out, and a run in. In comes the pitch, and boom! Fly ball to right-center. It looked like trouble, when, out of nowhere, Kerry flies in and makes a shoestring catch to save the day! Rally killed. Good job, Kerry!

Paula displayed some awesome defense at 3b, making great snags of line drives and tough throws to hold Turd Ferguson at bay and give B.I.G. T.A.B. a much needed defensive boost. Good job, Paula!
