Hit That Bump won the number one title for The Seattle Central Tuesday League. Tuesday they played Balls in! and Gave My Kneepads to Your Girlfriend. Balls in! was no match for what Hit That Bump was serving them. Hit That Bump dominated the court and showed them what really was coming: defeat.
Hit That Bump has a really impressive team dynamic. Pili is a very well rounded player that is the glue to the team. He is everywhere at once. When you blink you'll see him on one sit of the court finishing a roll from digging the ball or slamming the ball down so fast you didn't even see until it was on the floor of the other side. Austin is an AMAZING hitter and really brought out his jump serves tonight with 3 aces in a row. Billy is a great blocker with his vertical and strong arms pressing on the net. Emily is a setter that knows where her team stands and knows who to set it to at the right time. She also digs like a DS and had some amazing passes in the second match. Tehani is a strong blocker with strong deep serves. She really has a presence to her as well. Hayley serves floats that can go in every direction. Her hits are in the mean corners and she is such a supportive player to her team.
The game against Gave My Kneepads to Your Girlfriend was intense. Hit That Bump has only lost to one team this season and it was them. Hit That Bump really gave it their all. They won the first game but then Gave My Kneepads to Your Girlfriend made the 2nd game theirs. Leaving the game to anyone who would come and take it. The third set was finished at 24-26 going slightly into overtime. These teams are pretty evenly matched in skill but in opposing areas. Hit That Bump had a thrashing offense while Gave My Kneepads to Your Girlfriend kept the defense up. It seems in the end that their defense couldn't keep up with how fast the ball was going. Hit That Bump came in with winning in their hearts and wouldn't take any losses. Congratulations Hit That Bump on a successful season. Enjoy your prizes.

I'd hit that played amazingly Tuesday night. This season they won 7 games and lost to only 2 teams. One of the teams in which they lost to they beat in play-offs. That game was intense as the team won the 1st set, but I'd hit that pulled together, won with 25 and only let the team score 2 points. That wasn't the only fire moment as the team kept their momentum and won against Notorious DIG and then faced No Dig'gity. No Dig'gity brought a lot of intense saves. I'd Hit That had a hard offense that No Dig'gity was trying to return by scrambling for the ball, but in this case a strong offense beat defense. Leo Moyer really brought his all tonight. During one of the sets he had 4 consecutive middle kills in a row. David Beckham had great net play and made sure to block every time he could get up there. Jodie really supported her team out there and killed with her serves, pushing the other team into the corners. The sets, passes, and hits in these games were really on point and full of fire. Awesome job winning. Rep that title hard!

Just the Tip won the CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE this last Tuesday night at Seattle Central. They faced Post-Call or Drunk and Redemption. Both really good teams in the league, but not good enough to win against Just the Tip. Post Call or drunk kept the score pretty close throughout all of the games but not close enough. Just the Tip showed a lot of devotion to the game and saving the ball, refusing to let it drop.
Redemption was a hard game, but nothing Just the Tip couldn't handle. During this game Tim accidentally kneed Stephanie in the stomach trying to get the ball, but like a true champ she pulled through and kept playing. Redemption was missing a few players and Just the Tip saw this and used their skills to this advantage. Serving the ball where the team wasn't and watching placement. Ultimately they really did win with great hits and tip placements. Awesome job guys, you are true Underdogs.
