Summer Softcore Kickball in Everett Thursdays

Sarah displayed an awesome attitude during the game. A newcomer to kickball, she demonstrated some stingy play at shortstop. Her constant smiling and cheering kept her teammates spirits up throughout the game.

Playing with all her heart & might, Megan was no bunter. She was swinging away, smiling the whole time. This was best demonstrated with her first kick, as she managed to chip it over a veteran first baseman who wasn't giving respect by playing in on her.

Christie Olsen earned player of the week honors. Her outstanding defensive play at 2b helped keep the Bunts of Steel in check. Add to that her deft kicks, sneaky bunts and smart baserunning, and she was the total package, always in the right place at the right time. Good job, Christie!

2 outs, runners on first and second, top of the seventh, Ball Bangers clinging to a slim 6-5 lead. Beth Duffus pitches the ball, and the kick goes slightly to her left, toward first. She snags the ball, and her momentum carries her toward the kicker coming down the line. Easy out, right? Wrong! Somehow, she misses the tag. However, Beth manages to recover, turn and fire toward first to get the out, just in time! Way to keep your cool under fire, Beth!
