Dominika Marczak
Dominika Marczak
Epileptic Elephants
Dominika showed off her full arsenal tonight as the Wednesday Midcore league got to witness her putting on a defensive clinic. With great anticipation, Dominika was able to cover ground by seeing the angles that the ball would come before even the offense saw it. Whether the ball was a spike or a tip, Dominika was there to erase any potential points. But don't sleep on her net play because she will get up with the best of them to send some nice hits the other way. Look out for these Epileptic Elephants because they have a gem on their side!

Matt can really hit it
Matt can really hit it
Epileptic Matt
Matt came in tonight with a really strong arm. He consistently hit the ball down and hard against the other team. He is tall and his vertical only compliments that when it comes to net play. Matt plays well with his team and has good voice. His blocks are spectacular as well, sending the ball straight down. Congrats on the win and the amazing night!

Sean Tran
Sean Tran
Epileptic Elephants
Sean Tran is this weeks player of the week! Although his team lost a close 3 game battle, Sean's play helped his team stay in it till the end. His passing was great and his all-out style of play helped his team get a ton of balls up. Whenever he was set, his team could count on him to put it away. Great job Sean, keep it up man!

Ben Nakamura
Ben Nakamura
The M's
Today, Ben Nakamura led his team, The M's, to a triumphant victory over the highly skilled team, Harry Potter and the Half-Court Princesses. After being defeated in game 1, the M's quickly learned that the Princesses came to play. Ben then led his team to take games 2 and 3, finishing just in time with less than a minute to spare. Ben had laser accurate sets and his team capitalized on his athleticism. He seemed to get everything within a 6 foot radius of him up and placed well. Ben gave his team opportunities to get kill after kill with his truly impressive setting. Congrats to Ben and the M's for a great win and great play. Keep it up!

Stefanie Voo
Stefanie Voo
Blue Kalamazoos
Stefanie Voo is this week's player of the week! She and her team, the Blue Kalamazoos, played in a long, grueling match against a very good team, Night Court and nearly took home the victory. The Blue Kalamazoos have quite a few good hitters. It astonishes me that even though she is much smaller than her teammates, she remains a very safe option to set. She consistently puts the ball away and for whatever she lacks in size, she more than makes up for in her cannon of an arm and her great consistency. Not to mention, she got a kill today by accidentally colliding with a teammate when set, and when she ducked away from the ball it hit her head and bounced over for the kill. Just another perfect reason why Stefanie is this weeks player of the week! Congrats

Katie Silliman
Katie Silliman
Night Court
Katie Sillman is this week's player of the week! Night Court had the most competitive match of all season tonight against Eclectic Elephants. Both teams were playing really well, going point for point virtually the whole time. Night Court came away with the win, but it wasn't easy. With the help of Katie, the team seemed to be more of a powerhouse than usual. She completely amazed the court, executing kill after kill. Her swing is well rehearsed and extremely effective. It seemed like any ball she was set would snap down for the kill. Her passing and setting was great as well. Congrats Katie and Night Court!

Kit Lee
Kit Lee
The M's
This week's player of the week is Kit Lee of The M's. Kit and his team had a really tough match tonight and nearly pulled through but the Epileptic Elephants managed to snake their way through to the finals. Kit really had a hell of a game though. Once he hit his groove (within the first few minutes of play) he seemed to put away every ball he was set. He's got great form and can really put some heat behind the ball. Although Kit and his team won't be advancing, he might have shown the most impressive performance I've seen from a player all season. He'll be one to watch next season for sure. Congrats Kit!

Kaitlin Cramer
Kaitlin Cramer
Back that ace up
Kaitlin is this weeks player of the week, and a member of the season champs, Back That Ace Up! This team has been one of the most consistent teams all season. They continually put out a great effort and their skills are unmatched. They took the finals game today in 2, with the crucial help of Kaitlin Cramer. She does it all- from perfect setting, to unreal defense, to accurate and consistent hitting. She showed all of this on the court today, but the thing that helped her help the team the most was her serving. She went on a 10+ point streak during the first game which carried them all the way to 25, then in the second game, she had another huge streak that put them In the lead early on. She was the team's most valuable asset, and a huge reason why they are champs! Congrats to Kaitlin and to Back that ace up!!
