Afternoon Delight Opens Season With Win
Afternoon Delight Opens Season With Win
Strong Bats Lead The Way
Afternoon Delight is back in the building and they are definitely looking to make some noise. After spending a ton of money in free agency in the off season they look to improve on what has been a roller coaster ride for the past few seasons. There have been some victories and there has been some defeat. Something tells me that this team is not going to see a lot of defeat this season and I know that they have one thing on their mind. Championship. All other teams beware and please don't forget to bring your A game. Great win to open the season and we look forward to seeing you guys and gals in action next week.

No Pants Party
What a way to start the season off! No Pants Party and Random Collision, 2 veteran teams, squared off in the season opener. The was no rust as both teams came out swinging and were in mid season form. The game went back and forth with Random Collision taking a small lead late. In bottom of the 7th, Liddy Steele smacked a line drive single, driving in the game winner. But that wasn't all she did. She made several great playing in the out fields and is always wreaking havoc on the base paths. Congrats to Liddy and the rest of NPP for a nice win.

27 Run Game Sends Message
Listen, when you show up to take on Just the Tip, you had better be carrying your A game with you. This team has been around a long time and knows how to win. Their offense, their defense and their pitching is crazy good not to mention their female position players who are among the best in the league. Please do not take this team lightly or you will definitely be leaving the field with a big fat L. They ripped off 27 runs on Tuesday night making look easy like it was just business as usual. Great game guys and gals and we will see you next week.

After a slow start week 1, Random Collision came out of the game on fire. Pitching. Defense. Hitting. Leading the way at the plate was Lauren Kamitsuka going 4 for 4 with 2 triples in her first two at bats. The Collision rolled to a solid victory.

Afternoon Delight Beats Up On Danglers
Afternoon Delight Beats Up On Danglers
Nick Leads The Way
Afternoon Delight is looking like the team of olden days when they would just run over teams. Ripping off 29 runs sends a message that they are still a team that you think twice about tangling with so you had better bring your best effort when you face them. I expect them to challenge for a league title but they know that this road will be long and hard with all of the talented teams in the league. Their bats, their defense and their pitching is stellar and they know how to win ball games. Great game guys and gals and we look forward to seeing you guys mix it up with the big dogs next week.

Cunning Stunts Survive
4 Run 6th Seals The Deal
The Cunning Stunts are making some noise and are looking to get themselves in position for a title run. Led by DJ with two base cleaning bombs, these guys hit the ball well, fielded the ball well and scored the runs when they needed to. Just The Tip is no pushover for a team but Thursday night was Cunning Stunts night and they would not be denied. Great game guys and gals and can't wait to see you guys mix it up again next week.

Afternoon Delight Delightful In Win
Afternoon Delight Delightful In Win
Team Finds "On" Switch on Bats, Goers Crazy
Afternoon Delight got back to their winning ways on Tuesday night against power house Caught Masterbattering. Trailing for most of the game they put a hot streak together in the top of the 6th inning and never looked back. Led by Sara and her inside the park HR, this team turned it up and before you know it they grabbed a commanding lead going into the 7th inning. Superb pitching and hot bats proved to be the difference and it's great to see Afternoon Delight get back on track with a convincing win. Great win and great game Sara.

Upper Deckers
Late in the Upper Deckers narrow victory over the Danglers, Justin showed off his gold glove at first base, squashing any hopes of a late rally from the Danglers. From his fantastic picks on some tough hops to his selfless all out fence crashing catches, Justin truly was the MVP and our well-deserved Player of the Week.

Random Collision
Although Lindsay is Player of the Week officially, the back to back wins last night by Random Collision was truly a team effort. The team as a whole averaged 8 runs per inning in their final game, while also putting up a respectful 25 runs in their first game. The defense was spectacular, allowing only 14 runs through both games (an average of 1 run per inning). Random Collision is feeling very confident in their team as they wait eagerly for playoffs to start.

CHUBies
In a loser-out game, both Chubbies and Upper Deckers came to play. Chubbies, the slight underdog, jumped on the board early with 9 runs in the first 2 innings. Upper Deckers plated a few early but Chubbies defense and solid pitching by Lars quieted their bats in the middle innings. Upper Decker made a little run late, but it wasn't enough to hold off Chubbies. The win put Chubbies into the championship game against a tough Master Battering team that came out of the dugout on fire, jumping a 13-0 lead early. Chubbies fought until the very end, but it just wasn't enough. Congrats to Master Battering on their championship and Chubbies for a solid playoff run. And thanks to all the teams for a great season!!
