Mark Churchill gets inaugural player of the week honors for his legendary gundown of a girl at home plate. With two outs in an early inning, Hot Chicks and Huge Kicks sent one of their faster female runners around 3rd on what had been an extra-bases kick. Mark, determined to show why teams should not run on him, fired a laser lead-throw towards the plate, effectively nabbing the runner in the leg right before she touched home. For his remarkable throw, Mark is our player of the week. Congratulations!

Matt Canale earned this week's player of the week for Lower Woodlands! The first game of ManChestHair's double header was quite the shootout, ending 14-13 in favor of ManChestHair. Matt was an integral part of the win, slamming home seven runs with a homerun as well as a triple! His team couldn't have one this close one without Matt's boots behind the plate. What a game, Matt!

David Mynar is the player of the week for lower woodlands! He did his best to put his team in place to win with incredible defnesive plays at third and powerful kicks to the outfield. He ended with three hits and numerous putouts, one which was extremely impressive. With a runner rounding third on an overthrow, David hucked the ball from well into left field to peg the runner short of the plate. Although his defensive prowess didn't earn his team the win, his tremendous arm earned him a spot on the vaunted player of the week list!

In an exciting and sunny day of kickball, Gotta Catch 'em ALL!!!! came to play. They started the day as the 5 seed and managed to run the table and take home the championship. Their games were close and hard fought, but Gotta Catch 'em ALL!!! was able to hold on and play some solid kickball to win them the much sought after title of Underdog kickball Champions!
