Goulet Rolls To Big Win
Goulet Rolls To Big Win
Emily's Hot Bat Leads The Way
Tuesday night's game between Goulet and I'd Hit That was a lesson in team work and just plain old consistency. Ripping off 5 runs in three straight innings proved to be too much for IHT to come back from and from the 4th inning on it was all about defense. Goulet only gave up two runs the entire night with defense that was as tight as a drum. Leading the way was Emily who put on a hitting clinic going 3 for 4 with two HRs and a double getting the nod for player of the game. This team looks strong, their bats are hot and they are looking to shake things up in the coming weeks. Great win Goulet and awesome game Emily.

Random Collision
Welcome to another season of Underdog! Lots of new faces and many old friends. Congrats to Random Collision for starting of the season with a solid win. Andrea was in mid-season form at the plate, getting on base ever time, including a solid triple to score a few insurance runs late in the game. She also nice a lot of work as a pinch runner and seemed to be on the bases all the time. Nice work Andrea!

Brendan Leads The Way
Two words about this team.....Bad Ass. This team just keeps on dominating everyone in their path. This is an assembly of some of the best softball players in the Seattle area and it shows every time they take the field. There are no holes, their bats are as solid as it gets and their pitching is absolutely stellar. A game is required when you square off with this team, otherwise it's going to be a very long night for you. Great game Brendan and great win Goulet.

Pitch Slap Powers by Phenopack
Bats Too Hot, Defense Too Tight
Pitch Slap, missing some very key players, pounded Phenopack on Tuesday night ripping off 27 runs over the course of 6 innings. They looked good doing and they are looking forward to the playoffs. Lead by Shawn who had two inside the park HRs along with 6 RBIs, Pitch Slap has been around for a few years and they have had their ups and downs. This year they are looking stronger than ever and I expect them to contend for a league title. Great game Shawn and great win Pitch Slap.

Random Collision Back On Track
Random Collision Back On Track
Knocks off House Elves
It has been a rather tumultuous few seasons for the once dominant Random Collision. After setting the league on fire a few short seasons ago they fell from grace and now look to be regaining that swagger that they once had. Someone found the ON switch on their bats and boy have they been on fire at the plate. The ten run game doesn't quite tell the story and the House Elves themselves are no push overs. Random Collision just looked hungry, having fun again and the energy is returning ten fold. Still missing a few pieces and playing like they are is scary because I know once they get all of the pieces back together, they are going to wreak havoc. Playoff teams beware and don't take this team lightly. If you do your season will be over in a jiffy. Great win, great game and great to see you all back in the saddle.

Bats Too Hot, Defense Too Delicious
I'd Hit That went on a tear on Tuesday night and when the wreckage cleared and the dust settled they ran off 33 runs over a seven inning game. You know that you have reached the upper echelon of your league when you are scoring over 30 runs in a game. CPL was no push over and they played really well on defense but hit after hit after hit can hurt morale and confidence. That's what happened Tuesday night. Lead by Valerie Nethery who batted 3 for 4 with 3 singles while battling leg injuries suffered earlier in the day. She also drove home two runs and played lights out defense behind the plate. Behind her the entire team rallied. Their bats got hot, their defense got tight and before you know it, game over, good night, drive safe and we will see you next week. Great game Val and great win IHT.

We've Got The Runs Rolls
We've Got The Runs Rolls
Gardner-Young Drives Team
We've Got the Runs certainly had the runs on Thursday night and lots of them. They squared off with power house Master Batters Make You Blind and in the end it came down to who wanted this game the most. From the start it was quite evident who would walk away with the win. WGTR ripped off nine runs right away from the jump and that set the tone for the rest of the game. Let's just say that it really wasn't a game after the third inning. They were at twenty two runs at that point and they did not let up off the gas. Led by Brendan Gardner-Young, the triple A prospect who batted an amazing five for five and added a monster jack, two triples, two doubles and a single. This team really looks like a contender for a league title. They have come on as of late and are peaking at the right time. There are still some tough teams that they have to face in the coming weeks, but if they continue to play like they played Thursday night, they are going to be really hard to beat. Great game Brendan and great win WGTR.

Chris McGrath Leads The Charge
The House Elves are back to their winning ways and are peaking heading into the playoffs. With a combination of speed, hustle and power, this team is going to be a nightmare match up for any team making it into the playoffs. They were missing some key pieces on Tuesday night but still managed to score 30 runs despite. To all of the other league teams, do not take this team lightly or you will find your season over with in a jiffy. They are hungry, they are motivated and they are looking to end your season. Great game Chris and great win House Elves.

Master Batters Make You Blind Win Late
Master Batters Make You Blind Win Late
Ryan's Walk Off 2 Run jack Seals the Deal
In a battle that raged for most of the night, these two juggernauts battled back and forth in a nail biting and gut wrenching game. It all came down to the last inning with MBMYB trailing by two runs. With one run already across on a beautiful hit to right center, there were two outs and up to the plate comes Ryan. Having struggled a bit at the plate on the night this was his chance to make everything right and leave the hero. With one on base, the very first pitch he sees he takes a huge swing and misses everything. With ooohs and ahhhhs eminating from the dugouts he steps back in. On the next pitch, he connects, the ball leaves the field headed for the Tacoma area. Game over. Drive safe, good night and we will see you next week.

Otto Plays Out Of His Mind
IHT is rolling hard right now and looking for a fight. This up an d coming team is always game for a throw down with anyone who wants to step up and take the challenge. Their defense is tight as a drum, their bats are completely on fire and they know how to score in bunches. The squared off against the Master Batters on Tuesday night and established what could be called complete dominance on their way to a 22 to 8 win. I look forward to seeing them in the next round of the playoffs and congratulations to Otto for being a complete bad ass.

We've Got The Runs Wins Late
Walk Off Hit by George Seals the Deal
We've Got the Runs on Thursday night had to come from behind and win it in the bottom of the 7th on a George 2 run scoring shot to deep center field to score the winning runs. Their number one seed was in danger late in the game and looked like they were going to succumb to the pressure of the House Elves and the offensive assault that they were under. Well, they held serve in the last 3 innings, while scoring just enough in the end to pull it out. Great game George and great win WGTR!!

Total Team Effort!
PhenoPack stepped up their game Tuesday as they tried to take down the championship. Racking up 22 runs took an entire team effort. Every player in the lineup got a hit, many coming clutch with two outs. Their defense was on point too. Multiple times they pulled off double plays, showcasing their all-around skills to take home the title.
