This past Thursday at Seattle Central, Lorraine of Block You Like A Hurricane came up strong when her team needed her most. During intense moments in the game, the team needed some perseverance in order to secure the win. In the words of her captain, Lorraine rose to the occasion, proceeding to "lay the hammer down like a union certified carpenter" right in the nick of time. On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when David Gonzalez of Gave My Kneepads To Your Girlfriend transcended volleyball with his outstanding performance. Quickly, GMKTYG turned to David when they were in need of a kill. Time and time again, David answered the call, even sneaking in a scoring shoot to the far back corner of the opposing team’s court. His hits were so consistently powerful and well placed his team easily racked up the points. For his superior hitting performance, David Gonzalez is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!

Rough Sets

Anyone watching the championship match between Rough Sets and Hot Sets might've wondered, "Is that a bird? Is that a plane?" But no, it was Kang Suh of Rough Sets! Kang displayed an amazingly high level of agility while playing. He seemed to be everywhere and play any position needed. His vertical was definitely the most impressive, allowing him to score multiple kills throughout the match. It takes a lot to consistently play at a high intensity level, especially in a championship match, but Kang did it. For his outstanding display of volleyball skills, Kang Suh is our player of the week. Congratulations!
