Matt Groves brings it home for Matt Damon
Matt Damon came out strong in the Opening Day of Fall Kickball at Lower Woodlands. It was a close match for several innings between Matt Damon and the Kolokotronis' Mustache, but Matt Groves quickly ended the tense battle with a massive boot to right-center. With loaded bases, Matt launched one into the outfield to score everyone including himself. The Grand-Slam ended up securing the win for Matt Damon for Week #1.

There is no better way to end a game than to end it with a walk-off hit. Kevin stepped up to the plate with 2 runners on in the bottom of the 7th innning and booted the ball to right field. The ball rolled past the right-fielder and into the corner bringing the runner on second home to score and take the win. Kevin ended it with a walk-off double, but he will tell you that he had a walk-off home run and who am I take that away from him? Great walk-off home run Kevin!

The first time up to kick Bert came up with one out and ready to smack the foul, but instead he fouled twice and failed victim to the 2nd out of the inning. Bert didn't let that get to him though. With runners at 1st and 2nd, he came up again with one out. Fouled the first pitch and got upset with himself.... That's all it took, because he smacked the ball deep into right center for a 2 run triple... He wasn't done there.. His last at bat he came up big again with a 2 run double.. It just goes to show you that you might start off slow but you can always try try again. Great job Bert for not letting them foul balls get to ya...

Dani came up big for her team when they needed her the most. She pulled double duty, pitching to all the guys and subbing to 3rd with the females up to kick. Her defense was impicable. Dani came through the most with her mad bunting skills and Flash Gordon speed. It was like watching Usain Bolt in the Olympics, she was that fast. She had a 100% on base percentage to go along with 3 runs. Congrats on a great game Dani.

Consistant offense and a nice defensive play earns POTW
I'm sure this person never thought they would get POTG, let alone POTW, but they did. They had an awesome game and an even more awesome catch. Emily Yannucci made a spectacular catch in center even-though there were some doubters out there. She couldn't be stopped on offense either, getting on just about everytime she was up to kick. Great job Emily!

Yianni leads team on Cinderella run
Yianni a long-time vet of the Underdog kickball circuit led his Mustache squad all the way to a third game and a chance at the league title.
On both sides of the ball, Yianni exemplified his teams' spirit and will to compete. His team came up short, but earned respect from their fellow kickballers along the way.
