Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Tuesdays

Justin Kim and All Your Bases Belong to Us found themselves in a dog fight against the their opponents Kick in a Box, which happened to be their fellow co-workers. With office bragging rights on the line Kick in A Box jumped out to an early lead. Justin Kim was able to keep his team in the game as he was all over the outfield making spectacular diving and shoestring catches. Justin's defense allowed his team to get within one run heading into bottom of the seventh. Justin's kick in the seventh inning helped move the game tying run into scoring position. The runner later scored in the inning to tie the game, which is how the game ended so the office bragging rights will have to be decided on a different day. Keep up the good work Justin!

In Kick In A Box's first game of a double header, they expended a lot energy playing short handed especially Dwight Farrow who was all over the outfield making plays. Dwight and the rest of Kick In A Box seem to be much better in their second game. Dwight was still all over the outfield making plays plus he was stellar at the plate getting on almost every time. He set the pace for his team with his aggressive base running, which seemed contagious as Kick In A Box took advantage on the base path of any mistake by their opponent. That aggressive base running produced their first win of the season.

In a hotly contested battle between two great teams, Jimmy of Sloshball was a cool customer. With his team trailing early in the game, Jimmy was able to help stop a rally with an amazing catch as the pitcher. Jimmy provided some offense as well with his kicking. However, he saved his best for last with his team trailing by one run in the bottom of the ninth with two outs and runner on third, Jimmy was able to find a hole in the defense that tied the game. Unfortunately, the game ended in a tie but Sloshball was able to remain undefeated for the season. Nice work on the diamond Jimmy!

Arne brought his A-Game to this playoff series.
His contributions on offense for both the semifinal and championship were commendable, but on defense Arne shut down the opposing teams bunting strategies, and worked as the team general through both hard fought victories.
