Winter Softcore Kickball in Ballard Saturdays

First game of the season, and Ann let everyone know the business! There's no more telling her how and when to run those bases! Ann had a spectacular game as she base coached herself for the first time on to a solid run. Look out for this lady folks! She's about to become the next point scoring power house!

Rain didn't slow Joe Ferrara from having a terrific game on both sides of the ball this week. As a steady drizzle beat on his team, Joe boosted morale over and over with two whopping home runs, one being a grand slam. His big kicks and great defense helped secure the win for Frigid Girls and Frosty Balls!

Called up from the minors to finally appear in their first big league kickball game, these legit newbies made their presence known amongst the elite kb community. Respecting the wishes of these kickball rookies to remain anonymous, their names will not be given at this time. Instead, the two players that will be mentioned, will be identified based off of their position. First to be mentioned is the catcher, who with his ability to read the batters, could predict exactly where bunts were going, throwing out multiple speedy bunters. Lastly, a tough position to be thrown into is centerfield, which this player had no problem with. He caught everything. He dove at least 3 times to make a play that could have cost Slappin da base the game. Great work out there newbies!!!

This week's player of the week is no stranger to Kickball fame. You all have seen her doing interviews on ESPN and showing off her still life skillz on the cover of Kickball allstar magazine. Yep, you guessed it....Allysa Pallari of FFFB. Allysa, who plays first base, played her heart out in the championship game of the winter season against a tough opponent, The Dream Team. Making stop after stop, not letting a single ball get by her, helped her team take home the gold. Great job out there, Allysa!! See ya in Spring.
