Spring Co-ed Flag Football at Juanita HS Sundays

Nicole Schock caught 3 TD passes and played stellar defense, leading Totem Alum to an opening week victory over Medulla Oblongata. Nicole was relentless on defense, breaking up a number of passes and recording some exceptional flag pulls. On offense, when Totem Alum was close to end zone, managed to find open space and catch passes for touchdowns. Great job, Nicole!

This weeks Player of the Week is Taylor Hupf. Taylor had 2 TD catches leading ShakeWeight to a 42-34 win over Totem Alum. Hupf also came up big on defense with a number of key defensive pass knockdowns. The victory moved ShakeWeight to 2nd place in the standings as they move towards a showdown with the other division leaders. Great Job, Taylor!

Erica Reder went from the parking lot to POTW without breaking a sweat. She showed up for the game as the teams were taking the field and then caught several key passes, including a touchdown pass, leading Beast Mode to a 42-6 win over Google. Erica was able to catch a number of underneath routes in key situations and also had several flag pulls on defense. She had arguably her best game of the season, proving that punctuality isn't always a necessity. Great Job, Erica!

When the playoffs come around, veteran teams tend to step up because they've been there before and they know how to handle the pressure. And no, the Statdog is not talking about the World Champion Dallas Mavericks. He's talking about the Gym Class Rejects, and specifically quarterback/defensive back Andrew Kawamura. On offense Andrew threw four touchdown passes, while controlling the game as all great field generals do. On defense, he policed the field with menace and ferocity, intercepting two passes and continually preventing big plays with his great prowess. And with that tremendous effort, the Gym Class Rejects were winners on Sunday and are looking for more big things next week.
