Spring Gentlemens Flag Football at Juanita HS Sundays

Steve Simmons made 2 fantastic TD catches, one just before half on a long pass, leading Thank You Come Again to a win over Jerry's Kids. Simmons also intercepted 3 passes, 2 of those as Jerry's Kids were driving towards the end zone. The Thank You offense was in rare form, scoring on a number of long passes and their defense holding the Jerrys Kids offense at bay the entire game. But the star of this game was Steve Simmons and it garners him this weeks POTW.

In a great game between two great team, one player stood out above the rest. Ed had a great game. He was a mad man on the field. He had hands made of glue. Everything thrown his way stuck to his hands. In a game that was close he had the game winning catch that gave his team the much needed first down. This put the game away and allowed his team to down the ball and run out the clock.

Clean was a dominate force on defense. Everytime the QA would go to throw the ball he would knock the ball down. He was in the QB's face all day. In addition to this he also had a few nice catches. Excellent work Clean!!

Chuck Bednarik, Deion Sanders, and all of the other great two-way players would be proud of Caleb Nelson for his performance on Sunday. Nelson was all over the field, intercepting passes on defense, and making seemingly every key catch for Sea-Burg on offense. None was more crucial than his final reception. With the score tied at 41, Caleb caught a touchdown pass from Rob Williams with 32 seconds left on the clock to give put the decisive points on the scoreboard.
