Always Sunny, I'd Kick That, Tiger Blood - Indy #1, Where my pitches at?
POTW: Eric Amador
ClearPoint
This weeks player of the week goes to all around solid play of Eric Amador. Eric played a stellar 3rd base racking up out after out, showing mid-season form on his kickball skills. Eric also did lots of damage at the plate in his first game that ended in a 8 to 6 final, it was Eric's Grand-slam that made the difference. Great job Eric!
If you want to see blazing fast speed around the bases or how to zip around on defense making plays everywhere on the field, you don't have to look far when Kimberly Patton is playing kickball. Her cat-like reflexes at catcher and the infield proved to be invaluable in her team's win on opening night. Great way to start to the season Kimberly!
In the spirit of Kick-ball , this weeks player of the week goes to Kris Richey for Great defense as well as great cheer-leading. Kris possesed outstanding kickball spirit as the game went on, and "Where my pitches at?" got a win with the help of Kris's great defense! Great job Kris!
Jourdan was ready to play on Thursday night against "Always Sunny." His fielding skills proved to be extremely helped to his team, making at least three running catches in left-field. In addition, Jourdan had three hits and 3 RBI's in the game.
This weeks player of the week goes to Nikki Fritz for her great plays in the outfield that made the difference in a tight game. Trying to get use to her new role as a outfielder, Nikki made great catches, she made catches even while her own team-mates were trying to make the plays in her area, which she did not allow, her and her face got the job done without their help! Great job Nikki!

POTW: Alex Christlieb
ClearPoint
While inside the park home runs happen frequently in Kickball, to see one booted over the fence is a completely different story. That's what Alex Christlieb was able to do with a monster left footed bomb over the right field wall. As if that was not enough to earn him player of the week, he confused the defense by switch-hitting on his next at bat crushing it down the left field line with his right foot bringing in a couple more RBIs. All in a days work for Mr. Christlieb.
Making your pitching debut is never easy. Especially when you have never pitched before. Julie made her debut and made it count. With her team behind her, she got the outs. Its safe to say that Julie made her debut look easy. Good job Julie!

POTW: Brian Wright
I'd Kick That
Brian played all world on Thursday night. On another gorgeous day, Brian went 6-6 with 3 homeruns. He kicked 2 grand slams and a 3 run homerun for a total of 12 RBI's. That has to be a record of some sort. He also had another homerun in the 2nd game. With some great plays in the defense also, I'm putting Brian in for player of the month if we had that. Great work Brian.

POTW: Lauren Deal
I'd Kick That
On a gorgeous Tuesday evening there was no better place to be in Seattle than Denny Park for Kickball! With I'd Kick That taking on Goose-Lightning it was I'd Kick That jumping out to a small early lead & then building on it inning after inning and never looking back. What sparked this continuous onslaught of scoring became clear as Lauren Deal stepped to the plate & turned a routine single into a triple which ended with a textbook wow-inspiring slide into 3rd base. She displayed smart & aggressive baserunning from the first pitch to the last. Lauren also dominated at 3rd base with surehanded catches, throws & tags. Congrats to I'd Kick That on their 15-1 victory & to Lauren Deal who slides in as our Player of the Week!
In Tiger Blood's rainy double-header last Thursday Jamie Callaham came to play. No matter where she lined up on defense, Jamie was making impressive outs. And on offense her kicking was just as deadly, often psyching out the other team with fake bunts that turned into line drives over their heads. For her great performance over two soggy games Jamie has earned Player of the Week honors.

POTW: Asia Newman
Liquid Courage
This weeks player of the week goes to Asia Newman and her outstanding defense. Asia made great plays, with tough catches with savy, and all around control of her team. She was the meat and potatoes of her team, and the rest of her team followed the example she set. Great job Asia, and great season to the rest of your team!

POTW: Chris Smith
Liquid Courage
Chris had an all around great game.. Dressed up in all black (Johnny Cash) as his team was referring to him. Chris made big play after big play. Playing 1st base in both games he had stellar defense and in one particular play, he got the out at first then saw the runner was rounding third and thinking of going home. Instead of throwing the ball he sprinted to third to hold the runner then collapsed afterwards in exhaustion. Bringing both teams including myself into laughing. Thanks for keeping it fun Chris. You rock..
Allison defense was superb in the outfield. Her defense was so superb that in order for Tiger Blood to rally back in the sixth inning they avoided kicking the ball in her direction. Lucky for Where's my pitches at? their opponents were not able to avoid kicking to her in the seventh sealing the win. Good Luck Allison and Where's my pitches at? in the rest of the playoffs.
Lauren Deal put it all on the line in the championship game. She was all over the field making spectacular defensive plays that helped keep I'd Kick That in the game. As her team struggled to score runs against Liquid Courage, Lauren provided the offensive spark with her aggressive base running in the fifth when she slid safely at third base under the tag. That proved to be the spark that I'd Kick That Then needed as they scored six runs to lock up the win and championship. Good Job Lauren and I'd Kick That on a great season.
