After running through the rest of the competition in the regular season Heavy Setters and SMASH squared off for the second time in the season and for the second week in a row, put together a classic. Heavy Setters had picked up the victory in the last week of the regular season and SMASH was primed to get their revenge and pick up the title.
The match was close and competitive the whole time, with Heavy Setters squeaking out a 27-25 win in the first game that could have gone either way. SMASH answered in the second game and looked to be picking up the momentum as they held Heavy Setters to just 18 points.
The 2nd game comeback must have sapped all of the energy out of SMASH though as they struggled to keep up the the Heavy Setters, who seemed to be catching every bounce of the ball. Heavy Setters finished off the match and their championship with a 25-9 win.

The night didn't start out too intense for what I was expecting. Both teams brought the intensity in their first matches and were tuckered out by finals. Sandy’s stuck through it and finished with a big bang! They dominated! Big shout out to Allan for his awesome hits and Diana with her great serves!
