Once again Rough Sets and Indecisive found themselves face to face in the finals match and once again it was a show of skill with hard hitting, quick digging and accurate setting. Teams coming in to play at 8:30 couldn’t help but stop and stare at the great play. Both game one and game two were neck and neck almost the whole way through with no team having more than a 6 point lead. Game one ended with a score of 26-24 in favor of Rough Sets. In game two, once the teams got into the 20’s it was back and forth with points until they capped out at 27 giving Rough Sets another win under their belt.

Many of the softcore games come with the occasional bump, set, spike combo, but tonight I could have sworn I was watching a midcore game instead. Both The Ruckus & Spike it Like it’s Hot were bumping, setting and spiking all over the court and many killer hits were had. The Ruckus started out hot and took game one in a pretty fast past match. In game two Spike it Like it’s Hot came in with a little more fire and made The Ruckus work harder for their second win that gave them the championship title.

After a well fought battle in the semi’s, Sets in the City faced off against Bump, Set, Yikes!. Excitement levels were high on both sides of the court going into the match and all three games were close in score. In game one, Bump, Set, Yikes! came out with a bang and took game one 25-22. Sets in the City was not going down without a fight and turned around in game two with a reversed score of 25-22. Down to the final game of the match, both teams had high energy and drive to win. With a hard hitter on the Sets in the City side, Bump, Set, Yikes! had to bring their A game digs and that they did. Unfortunately they did not get as many as they needed and Sets in the City powered through for the W.
