Spring Co-ed Softball at Paramount Sundays

It was a tough day for the Trout Eaters on Sunday, but they improved greatly as the game went on and started picking up some runs in game #2. It was Carl though that helped keep his team's spirit high as the games went along. Carl kept the jokes coming from the pitching mound while on defense. On offense, he kept it simple, determined only to "hit the ball" and "not strike out". He did surprisingly well with that strategy.

Carl's strategies brought in a good brainstorming session where his team came up with a new defensive strategy, playing an extra outfielder and only 3 infielders. When asked about this, his shortstop yelled "I've seen Moneyball!!!". The arrangement worked as they blanked their opposition that inning.

Fueled by the retro pirates hat, Neal went 5-5 at the plate including three huge homers to power the boozers to victory on a blustery Sunday afternoon. After the game, Neal was contacted by the actual Pittsburgh Pirates who asked him what he was doing for the next 150 days of the year .... nice work Neal -

Sunday against the Arbornauts, it seemed early on that Twist needed a small jump start to really get going. Monae provided that jump start first with an incredible catch behind the plate on a very high pop up and then at the plate where she shined. Her inspiring play definitely helped Twist get the tires turning and scoring some much needed runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. She played an awesome game and definitely played a part in Twist surviving late in the game. Great job Monae!
