Spring Co-ed Flag Football at Seattle Center Thursdays

In every game, there are usually a few plays that stick out as what made the difference between victory and defeat for any given team. While each play can be viewed as equally important to the outcome of the game, situations arise in which the pressure of the moment dictates that the next play could be the difference maker. One such example is Kate Siddell's clutch TD pass for Prime Time, in a riveting 25-24 victory over Ain't That Delicious! Kate showed the poise and moxie that reminded onlookers of Eli Manning, or even the great Joe Montana. Her clutch play was truly Prime Time.

Big ups to Krystal Deyo for scoring three touchdowns, and also intercepting a pass on defense, in Shamrocks' 40-6 victory over The Hail Mary's. Krystal left no doubt as to who was deserving Player of the Week status for Week 3. Nice work, Krystal!

Mark came through HUGE for Footlong Tacos w/his 2 TDs to help capture their victory. He was playing against a tough D that wasn't making his job easy, but he managed to step it up that one notch and make the plays needed for his team. Great job out there, Mark!

It's not everyday that we see a double-overtime thriller like the one that occurred this past Thursday at Memorial Stadium. Spaceballs showed some serious guts and determination, continuing to come from behind throughout their game with Beer 30. Early on, they only had six players on the field, and it definitely hurt their defense. However, as a few more players streamed into the stadium, the defense stabilized.

The stable force throughout the game was Elizabeth Terry. Trailing throughout the game, E.T. finally got her shot to catch up on the final drive of regulation. With less than two seconds left, she threw the game tying touchdown pass, sending the game into overtime. In overtime, the offenses traded scores, until Beer 30 missed their two pointer on their second possession, opening the door for Spaceballs to have a shot to win the game with their turn on offense. Elizabeth's calm under pressure showed, as she was equal to the task, throwing the tying touchdown, and adding the winning conversion, for a dramatic 49-48 victory.
