Bumps and Balls
Callie always comes ready to play even if her team is a little on the late side. She always comes in and gives herself some time to warm up and getting any kinks out. On the court she is cat like. She is fast to move in the back row and sly in the front row. She works hard all night and hustle to the ball no matter what. Great work Callie!

Morning Missiles
Morning missiles took the missile part of their name seriously as they served, set & spiked their way to victory. At the front of the pack was Ben Zafft. He was hitting left right and center all night long. If there was a block, he'd hit around it, if the net was wide open, he would put it any place he'd like. On top of all that, he brought out a jump serve that also kicked major butt.

Jenny Sievila
Jenny Sievila
Morning Missiles
Jenny always seems to show up with a positive attitude! And that's awesome, because showing up is half the battle right? She is a key player for the morning missiles and communicating on the court is her specialty. Her sets and spikes were especially on point this week and the Morning Missiles looked particularly polished as a whole. Look out for this all-star team!

Alexandra Davis
Alexandra Davis
Team Air Bud
Good court awareness is definitely a skill that takes a lot of practice to acquire and Alexandra showed that she has it in spades! As a setter, court awareness is essential. Alexandra was able to find all the open spots to place the ball whenever there wasn't a good opportunity for the hitters to get a kill, never letting there be a "free ball" over. Alexandra always knew when to pull back off the net for defense when needed and was able to cover open spots that were left unattended. With her great setting and defense, Alexandra helped pull her team to victory!!

NWA - Nerds With Attitude
This week Jacqueline was her typical self. It just so happens that her typical self includes a great, fun attitude, hustle that no one can keep up with, and serves like a pro! No one can count the amount of times Jacqueline ended up on the ground due to a dive or an aggressive play or just being Jacqueline! She is fun to watch and everyone around her has a great time due to her amazing hustle and awesome moral and smiles all night. Great work!

Unprotected Sets
This week Emily was an ab master. She was an amazing sport and determined to keep playing after a ball rammed right into her stomach. She didn't even think about sitting out, just kept on playing with her rock hard abs! Her perseverance helped her team take one out of three games against Team Air Bud, but the games were close. Way to go Emily!

Casual Sets
This week I wasn't sure if casual sets would pull it together. They were plagued with injury and scheduling conflicts, but they were not going to let any of that stand in their way since it was playoffs. Monica was on fire this week, she was consistant with every hit and had at least 40 kills between both hours. I also never saw any fatigue she was all over the court and determined to keep the ball in the air. Even if that meant she was gonna have to pop it over off her elbow. She had so many hits I lost count and was jumping 5 or 6 times a rally to either hit or block. Casual sets came in seeded 4th and beat the 5th seed and the first seed in their bracket. They are on to the finals next week and I assume with their A GAME!

Keagan "Long Arms" Rogers
Keagan "Long Arms" Rogers
Team Air Bud
Let's see how many nick names I can come up with for Keegan after watching him play for a season. Long arms for his gargantuan reach while in the air, snapper for his last minute snaps on the ball when he hits it causing it to go straight down when you thought it was out, and finally hang time for his jumps that seem to last forever. Keegan may be more well known for his basketball skills but this season he has become a veteran volleyball player with the championship to prove it! While Keegan "long arms" Rogers may seem like he is still figuring it all out don't let that fool you he has a solid swing and a block from another planet that you can't seem to get through. Great work Keegan and congrats on the championship!
