While the regular season had it's ups and downs, Fumble This! saved its best for last as they made an epic playoff run, culminating in championship glory. Leading the way was Jeremy Day, who was all over the field on both sides of the ball, making sure that his team would not be denied. He and his buddy Eli combined for two touchdowns and two interceptions in the semi-final and final rounds. Congratulations to Fumble This!

Last weekend Malicious pulled off, on paper, a big upset against Morning Wood. Then on Sunday, they put together back to back 40-34 victories against Justice League and Pain Train. While the upset against Justice League was a thriller, it could not compare to what transpired down the stretch of the final. After breaking a tie and going ahead by 8 with a little more than two minutes to go, Malicious appeared to have the game in hand. However Pain Train wanted to write their own story-book ending and heroically drove down the field to score a touchdown and convert the 2 to tie the score at 34 with 28 seconds to go. But that was just enough time for Reth Bon and Melissa DeRoos to complete a couple of key passes, none bigger than the touchdown on the final play of the game. Congratulations to Malicious!

It was quite a ride for Sleeveless in Seattle this summer. Heading into the playoffs, they were confident that they had what it took to be crowned champions. After sweating out the semi-final round, the Sleeveless gang headed into the championship game as underdogs. However, they showed all of the grit and determination that only true winners can muster, as they pulled off the upset 42-38. Congratulations to Sleeveless in Seattle on winning their first championship!
