Drinkers with a Kicking Problem had a season for the ages. It wasn't a perfect season but might as well have been.
In the first game of the year, the Drinkers definitely had a kicking problem. Only managing 3 runs, they lost a close battle. Between weeks 1 & 2, something must have clicked, because that would be the last time they tasted defeat. They would go on to score no less than 10 runs per game while averaging over 14 runs a game for the rest of the season. They had become a dominant kicking machine. During their impressive winning streak they beat their opponents by over 10 runs a game on average.
There was no stopping the Drinkers as they rolled through the playoffs and took home the midcore crown. Congrats on an amazing season and taking home the championship!

Winning a championship is not an easy feat to do, especially when you are playing shorthanded. But that is exactly what Steve Holt: Blood and Sand did.
Steve Holt only had 7 players so they need a fast start and they got one. In the first inning they came out roaring with 6 runs including a 3 run homer. Staking themselves to the early lead would be critical due to the shortage of players on defense.
Throughout the rest of the game Marshall Law was picking away at the lead. Picking up a runs in small doses seemed like it was going to work. Going in to the 7th, Steve Holt was clinging onto a slim lead at 8-7, but In the final inning, that's when championships are won. Tacking on 3 more runs for insurance and breezing through the bottom frame, Steve Holt had pulled off the improbable victory. Heart, guts and determination won this one. A well deserved title and congrats go out to the champs!
