Fall Softcore Kickball at Ballard Boys and Girls Club Sundays

In the closest game of the week, Cole stood out with his great all around play. He staked his team out to an early lead with a 2 run homer and drove in another with a double. As Le Bon Ton tried to come back late, Cole saved a run with an excellent throw that gunned down a runner trying to score. Well done Cole!

This week's award goes to Azar for his great skills in the outfield and his ability to sub for the Indy team.

It is always great to have a friendly catcher behind the plate, and Rachel was that and then some. She helped keep up the spirit of her team in a down-to-the-wire contest, and then delivered at the end with a walk off single to win the game.

Azar Koulibaly from Hold My Kicks picked up his second player of the week honors for the season. On a wet dreary day, Azar was flying around the outfield making diving catch after diving catch to help keep his team in the hotly contested playoff game. Even his opponents had to applaud him for the catches he was making in the outfield, which led them to issue a warning not to kick to him. Azar's effort was not enough to pull out the win, but he was definitely not from the lack of trying. Nice work Azar on your outstanding play.
