Fall Midcore Volleyball at First Baptist Mondays

For the opening week some people may be a little timid or even a little rough around the edges since they are getting back into the game, but not Mike! If Mike was in the back row a ball was not going to touch the ground unless he made a valiant effort to get to it! Once he dove for a ball that didn't mean he was out of the play, he had several plays from the ground to keep the ball alive! And don't get me started about him in the front row! He must of had moon boots with his high jumps and intimidating kills! We look forward to seeing more from Mike and Indy#25 this season! Good luck and congrats on Player of the Week!

Chris can jump so high it looks like he is defying gravity and almost floating in the air. During the game this week, he was smashing balls left and right with all his hits and serves. Not only was he making some laser beam hits but he made some fantastic saves. Chris ran across half the court numerous times with one arm out to save the play and help his team win points. He even made some good last minute almost instinctual hits. He really stuck out of the pack with his skills. I look forward to seeing more success from this wolf.

This week all the teams really came together. There was some great playing out there across all the matches. A spectacular match to watch was the WolfPack against The M's. If you happened to stumble into the gym you would've been frightened because it sounded like thunder with all the booms from the big hits we had. Each team made some saves that were ridiculous and kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't count the number of times I thought the ball would die and it was magically saved by one player or another. Austin had some great hits on his side of the net and kept the ball in a number of times. His effort is continually impressive and I look forward to seeing if he and The M's make it to the playoffs!

These two players were on their game!! Both had some powerful spikes and were all over the court to help their team. The second game of the match had me on the edge of my seat! They were both so close and I thought Eat Our Pancakes (Indy #25) had it on their last serves. Spiked Punch made a comeback and just barely won the second game by receiving the ball on Eat Our Pancakes game point and getting two more serves for the win. Either one of these teams could have made it to the championship game. These two teams were a fun match up to watch and we can only anticipate whats going to happen in the championship game.
