Happy Ending
Derek had an incredible game tonight as he put on a volleyball clinic. Leading his team to a 3-0 victory over Monkey Lovers, Derek displayed all the tools it takes to be a great volleyball player. There were no holes in his offensive game as he was able to make any pass for his team and was deadly as a spiker as well. Derek's defensive abilities were just as impressive as he was able to dig any spikes and pop up any serve that came his way. Great job tonight Derek!

Mary Nguyen
Monkey Lovers
Mary from Monkey Lovers set her team to victory last night. She really mixes up the sets, utilizes the back row, and runs the courts. She was even running fancy trick plays with her fellow Monkey Lovers. This girl even bump sets like a champ! Way to go Mary!

Luis Antezana
Luis Antezana
Monkey Lovers
In a game that showcased two of the most talented teams in the league going head to head, someone had to step up to give their team the advantage. Tonight, that someone was Lou Antezana. Lou and the Monkey Lovers faced off against Creative Name Goes Here, a offensive power-house. After losing the first set 12-25, the Monkey Lovers' backs were up against the ropes. But the competitive and savvy vet, Lou, knew exactly how to handle the pressure. Lou took control of the game starting with his defense. Being able to retrieve the hard hits helped out tremendously for the Monkey Lovers. Also, Lou instructed his team to focus on getting the ball in the middle of the court to take the pressure off of getting the ball to the setter, creating easier opportunities for the Monkey Lovers to capitalize. With Lou's pure determination, he and the Monkey Lovers began to wear down the opposition setting Lou up for the final blows. Lou unleashed his power towards the end of the last two sets to seal a 2-1 victory over a now worn our Creative Name Goes Here. Amazing strategy and composure tonight Lou!

Graham B.
Graham B.
Creative Name Goes Here
Graham was absolutely dominating tonight destroying every ball in sight. At about 6'5 in height and arms that can reach the ceiling, Graham brought out his inner Thor and put the hammer down on "Endless Summer." After losing the first set, Graham stepped up to become a wall on defense not letting a single ball pass the net. It also didn't matter how many people went up to block Graham because he simply just gets higher than anyone else on the court. Graham had the most dominating performance yet this season and he doesn't seem likely to slow down anytime soon. Great job tonight!

Gough Chan
Gough Chan
Hittin It From The Back
Gough had a great game tonight as he showed many different aspects of his volleyball skills. He could do it all from any position on the court. His most impressive attribute tonight was his powerful spikes that he was able to lay down. Though not the tallest man on the court, Gough made up for it with his leaping ability. What makes Gough a great spiker is his knowledge and accuracy to avoid the opposing blocker and still hit the ball in the open areas of the opposing team's side. Gough has the total package and looks to continue his great performance for weeks to come. Great Job

Kelli Milham
509 Block Party
Week in and week out Kelli always arrives to put on a passing clinic. The angle or speed of the ball has no bearing, because Kelli will pop it right back up perfectly to the setter. Kelli's sets are just as flawless, as she completes bump sets with ease to set up her teammates like Bo for some killer spikes. Constantly challenging every spike at the net combining with her great passes makes Kelli the "Player of the Week."

Nick
Indecisive
From the championship winning team, Nick definitely got the team started off on the right foot with amazing kills and defense. A five point serving run changed the game in Indecisive's favor, leading them towards victory. Even with a sliver Nick pushed through and played a major roll in getting Indecisive the championship win. Way to go Nick!!
