Alex Chorey
Alex Chorey
Mad Dribblerz
Alex was definitely deserving of Player of the Week. His defensive prowess in goal helped his team, Mad Dribblerz, come from behind to knock off a very good team in Kung Futsal. With his team trailing after the first half, Alex was able to post a shutout in the second half, making one incredible save after another. Keep up the the good keeping Alex.

Christy Piscitelli
Christy Piscitelli
Dusty Mennella
In a back and forth battle Christy Piscitelli from Dusty Mennella proved to be the difference. Christy scored a late game winning goal to give Dusty Mennella their first victory of the season. It seems now that Christy and the rest of her teammates are starting to find their stride in futsal.

Breck Wilmot
Breck Wilmot
Below The Belt- Indy #1
There was no more deserving player than Bret Wilmot for Player of the Week honors. Bret definitely brought his "A" game, dribbling through mutiple defenders, making accurate timely passes and scoring goals. In Below the Belt's second game of the night, they were in a back in forth battle that had them trailing by a goal in the final few seconds when Bret scored a superb goal to give them the tie. While Bret has superior futsal skills, his attitude seems to be his best attribute because win, lose or draw he always leaves with a smile on his face. Bret keep playing the game the right way!

Jennilee Mendoza
Jennilee Mendoza
Cold Turkeys
In a hotly contested battle with Reptars, Jennilee "Captain" Mendoza was the difference maker. With her team, Cold Turkeys, tied late in the game Jennilee decided it was her time to sub back into the game. She made the most of her time on the floor as she put on her best Mia Hamm impression with the a fantastic game winning goal and a insurance goal to give her team a hard fought victory.

Jeff Cook
Jeff Cook
Kicker Instincts
There was no more deserving player than Jeff Cook for Player of the Week Honors. With the performance he turned in tonight I would even nominate him for Futsaler of the Year that was how dominating Jeff was in goal. In his second game of the night Jeff was turning away shot after shot trying to do his best Kasey Keller impersonation in goal. The only goal allowed in that game was a questionable one by the referee. If Jeff continues to have perfomances like tonight, the rest of the teams better watch out for him and the rest of the Killer Instincts.

Christy Polis
Christy Polis
Reptars- Indy #2
Christy deserves player of the week based on her determination alone. Her team played a player down in both games played as she was the only lady from her to show up. She played every minute of every game played and covered ground for an absent counter part. BUT not only did Christy play tough and through fatigue, she actually dominated most of the play leading her team to a hard fought win in the first game by scoring a go ahead goal and dominating play up top, making great turns against double teams firing near miss shot after shot.

Although in a loss, Christy even scored a goal in the 2nd game and keeping her tired team in the game until the very end.

Great Job Christy!

Anthony Indelicato
Anthony Indelicato
Below The Belt- Indy #1
There were two great players this week deserving of player of the week honors but the nod goes to Anthony as he made incredible saves in the first half that kept his team in the game the whole time. As he was facing point blank and rapid fire shots constantly, I would describe Anthony's performance as Patrick Roy-esque. Looking like a hockey goalie as he was "standing on his head" as they say, he saved nearly every shot having to do the splits, extending his legs in an opposite direction of the rest of his body or making timely challenges against a free shooters in his penalty area.

By keeping his team in the game, he allowed his team to squeak out an over time win against a team that I may have picked as the favorite to win it all.

Jeff Cook
Jeff Cook
Kicker Instincts
Jeff Cook has already won player of the week honors this season, but technically he could win it every week the way he plays in goal. After pitching a shutout in their first playoff win, Jeff came back to hold their opponents to three goals total in the semifinals and championship. Despite his team's great defense, Jeff had to make a multitude of saves that kept Killer Instincts in the game. Jeff Cook nice goalkeeping for the season.
