No One Does It Better

The Wolfpack was the ultimate team this season as they went undefeated through the regular season. What makes this team so amazing is their team unity. Never criticizing each other, The Wolfpack would instead lift each other up like a family on the court. Their hustle was unmatched all season long and their high flying aerial attacks were feared.

After winning the first two rounds of the playoffs, The Wolfpack were going to go head to head against a tough "Happy Ending" team. In the first set, "Happy Ending" simply outplayed The Wolfpack, locking down the aerial game. Losing 25-20, The Wolfpack's back was up against the wall.

When most teams would panic with the title on the line, Chris reassured his team that they were here to win. His serves were absolutely ridiculous as they came fast and bent right after the ball crossed the net. When Chris' time at serving came to an end, Tanu came in and sent crazy serves of his own. These two became a dynamic duo all game from serving to spiking. Tanu also put a muzzle on "Happy Ending's" spikes as he contested everything at the net. Kerri was unbelievable at setting the ball, creating havoc for "Happy Ending" to figure out where the ball was going to be set to. After winning the second set 25-21, "The Wolfpack" zoned in for that championship.

The Wolfpack came out swinging with Sami getting into the action. Her spikes were powerful and well placed. Tiffany was amazing covering the ground, not letting the ball fall. Will was a spark-plug who helped created a wall with Tanu. Will went sideline to sideline covering the net. With this amp'd defense firing on all cylinders, The Wolfpack cracked this game wide open with their high powered offense. The Wolfpack won the championship 25-15.

Great job to The Wolfpack! Well deserved champions!

Perfect Season

Endless Summer played amazing all season long going undefeated. When you watch Endless Summer play, you can clearly see why they are so dominant. It all starts with defense. Endless Summer moves around the court cohesively, covering one another, closing all the gaps. They just seemed quicker than everyone else and the team's athleticism was off the charts.

Making easy work in the first two rounds of playoffs, Endless Summer was matched against a high powered "Bad News Bears" team. The first set went back and forth as each team tried to sustain a streak. In the end of the first set, Drew was able to break "Bad News Bears" with a great placement spike pushing Endless Summer to a 25-20 victory. The second set was even more scrappy.

All game Cristina was on the move, covering sideline to sideline to defend the attacking "Bad News Bears." Cristina saved multiple points to keep the game close early. Sarah also did everything she could by passing beautifully and making sets that were easy to convert for Drew and Kris. As the points were still being handed back and forth, someone had to make a game changing play. That's where Stewart stepped up big time as he started swinging at everything in the air. Stewart's misdirection was key as he fooled "Bad News Bears" many times. The defense then stepped up as Kris and Drew created a huge wall at the net, contesting everything that came near. Leah covered any hole that opened from the wall and did it without fail. Endless Summer squeaked by 25-23 winning the Championship.

Endless Summer is a team filled with athletic freaks and could create their very own Underdog dynasty. There are no flaws in this team and will prove it in the upcoming seasons as they show the ceiling is endless as well.

Sweeping the Playoffs

We Dig 4 Play finished off the regular season with a 4-2 record capturing the number 2 seed for the playoffs. In the last game of the regular season, We Dig 4 Play fell to "Bump, Set, Yikes!" 1-2 setting up the rematch in the first round of playoffs. Something must have triggered after the loss because We Dig 4 Play brought out the brooms to sweep "Bump, Set, Yikes!" in three straight sets. They didn't stop there as they continued to dust the floor with "I Work Out" for another three straight sets. Now the only other team that beat We Dig 4 Play in the regular season stood in their way of the championship; the number 1 seeded "Shazam."

"Shazam" showed they were the top dogs after going undefeated throughout the season, even sweeping We Dig 4 Play in their only match-up. But tonight was a different story as We Dig 4 Play tapped into their inner beasts and came out swinging.

Led by thunderous attacks, Whitney was absolutely killing the ball tonight. Whitney dominated the net with her great defense and even more impressive spiking as the ball crashed to the ground, blazing by all the "Shazam" players. Complimenting Whitney, were Steve and Reid who brought the power from the second row. Their outstanding hustle made sure there would be no easy points, deflating "Shazam" of any chances of laying spikes down themselves. Leo was a defensive gem, using his long frame to suffocate the opposing team at the net. Jessica was all over the place getting anything and everything that happened to pass Leo. And the player to fuel this high powered offense was Liz, who was setting dimes everywhere on the court.

We Dig 4 Play ended up winning 2-0, never losing a single set throughout all of the playoffs. Amazing job We Dig 4 Play! They will be the favorites next season to defend their championship!
