The game began with a terrential downpour, and the rain never stopped the whole game. With the speed of both teams slowed by muddy conditions and some wet grass, and the wonders down one run, the clean-up hitter Jai came up to bat with two outs and no one on. Jai hit the ball deep the opposite way to right field, and motored around the bases. After being sent from 3rd by his base coach, Jai pushed even harder and used every last burst of energy. However, a JC Fought threw a strike from deep right field that arrived just barely in time to catch Jai and end the game.
