The Rumrunners played a solid game on both sides of the ball. An RBI triple in the first started out the scoring, but the key was a big 8-run 4th inning that really put the game out of reach for the Bruisers.
On defense, the Rumrunners made nearly every catch and got a few good bounces from the red rubber to hold the Bruisers to only 4 runs.

They would need 2 victories on Sunday to earn the crown of champion. In game 1, facing the top-seeded "We've got the runs", Little Lebowskis scored in every inning but 1, including a big 8-run 2nd inning. Their opponents also scored in 6 of 7 innings but not enough to overcome the early deficit.
In game 2, the championship, it was a battle to the end. The Turkey Snazzlers went into the 2nd inning with a 3-0 lead, but couldn't hold off the Lebowskis, who scored runs in all of the final 6 innings. The game ended with the tying run at 3rd, but a great catch on a twisting, hard fly ball ended it in the bottom of the 7th. It was truly a well earned title that was a battle the entire game and really could have gone either way.
