Construction Joes and Safety Hoes
This week the Joes and Safety Hoes get honored for their great play as well as their sweet attire. They were visible from blocks away rocking some sweet florecent vests and sweet safety glasses. Not only did they look sharp they also played sharp. They rounded the bases racking up runs and were stingy on defense only allowing 5 runs. The Joes and Hoes improved a great deal from their first game and are shaping up to being in the leagues elite! Great game!

Brian Reyes
Brian Reyes
The PitchBook Panthers
Brian was the backbone on defense for the Panthers as he snagged anything coming within his wide range at shortstop. Twice he surprised even the umpire with what he could reach. On offense he made solid contributions to bring a victory to the PitchBook crew on a beautiful kickball evening in Seattle.

Tasha Kroh
Tasha Kroh
Dream Team
Tasha Kroh embodies what a true dedicated kickball player should be. Despite being hurt, Tasha gave her all during the game never complaining or making excuses. Tasha was able to help her team both offensively and defensively. She went 4 for 5 at the plate, while scoring mutiple runs. Her defense was as good as her offense as she turned in an unassisted double play. Tasha's defense was so good at first base, her team is thinking of replacing their normal first baseman (Stover). Keep up the fantastic play, Tasha.

Caitlin Shearer
Caitlin Shearer
Urine Trouble
It was the bottom of the seventh and Caitlin was the lead off kicker, with the score tied she had to deliver and get on base. Caitlin did just that and hit a double to put her team in scoring position. The next kicker hit a huge fly and Caitlin had no hesitation sprinting home and giving her team the win. Good job Caitlin on being aggressive on the base paths

Marilyn Van Gaver
Marilyn Van Gaver
The PitchBook Panthers
While the night was filled with many players who could have taken home player of the week honors, Marilyn stood out for her all around play on the kickball field. She was an integral part in the Panthers defense as she made mutiple catches and great plays while playing second base. On offense she was no slouch either as she reached base almost every time, including scoring a crucial run on a close play at home. If Marilyn continues with her hot play other teams shoudl watch out.

Jeremy Lehman
The Despicable Minions
Jeremy had two great games this week. In the first of the double header Jeremy scored a couple runs and had a few big kicks. In game two he was able to provide a valiant presence on both offense and defense. Jeremy showed us all this week that he has great charachter after an injury cut his night short. Good job Jeremy and get well soon.

Sean Farrell
Sean Farrell
Dream Team
Sean might as well change his name to Brooks Robinson as he turned sure base hits into impressive bang-bang put outs with amazing fielding and throws on a frozon rope from his hot corner position (3rd Base). And equally impressive was his hitting (kicking) at the plate, displaying a rare combination of an impressive glove and stick!

Sean Beatty
Sean Beatty
Construction Joes and Safety Hoes
In what proved to be a day for the starting pitchers, Sean stood out above the rest as he kept the opponent kickers at bay by mixing speeds and locations on his pitches as evident by his seven strikeouts. He came up with key out after out in a hard fought pitchers duel that went down to the wire leading his team to victory in a 1 run ball game. Not only were Sean's pitches magical but he also recorded a key double play to stop any hopes of a rally by the opposing team. Unlike the American League where teams designate a batter for the pitcher, Sean also was able to help his cause by scoring two runs on offense, reminiscent of a women's college softball team... This just may be a performance for the ages!

kim harris
kim harris
Dream Team
In any other week a player hits two grand slams, pitches two great games and has over 10 RBI's over the course of two games to claim a league title, he/she would be a runaway choice for player of the week. But this week proved to be a little different as Treveor LaRowe was edged out by his team meat Kim Harris who had an equally impressive showing.

Down 2 - 0 after the top half of the first inning, Kim was able to set the table in what proved to be an explosive inning for her club. Kim followed up her first inning hit with four more with an impressive stat line of 5 - 5/4 runs/3 rbi's. And that was just the first game.

While equalling her stats at the plate would prove to be more challenging in the championship game, Kim was still able to be productive at the plate, but what made Kim stand out was her great play behind the dish. It was the top of the 4th inning and the Dream Team found themselves trailing 3 - 0, struggling to hold their opponents from scoring when allowing the lead off batter to reach base safely, Kim made what I think was the game changing play, by showing off her cat like reflexes pouncing from behind the dish to flick a what looked to be a sure lead off base hit to her pitcher who calmly threw the batter out, in what became a 1-2-3 inning.

And just like most baseball games you see, the player that made the great play defensively is the first batter up in the next half of an inning and this was no different. Kim lead the bottom of the 4th off with an infield single that sparked a rally in which the Dream Team took the lead and never looked back to claim their championship title.
