Once these teams stepped onto the court you knew it was going to be a close game. With powerful swings and stellar defense this match was one for the books. With the Karsmashians coming out of the gate strong they needed to be perfect to hold off Cowen Park Pythons. The Karsmashians were able to take the W for the first game but Asher and the Cown Park Pythons were not done! After a quick regroup it was on to game 2. Both Kyle and Renee from Cowen Park were done messing around and came to claim their title. With amazing and solid sets from Steven, Renee and Kyle were dominating the middle! Renee had block after block and quick kill after quick kill. Kyle was the speedster in the back grabbing anything near him and even things no one expected would stay off the ground. Don;t forget about Kyle's serves that were a force to be reckoned with. After a tough fight Cowen Park Pythons were able to take game 2 and make it an even match. It all came down to Game 3, and with 15 minutes left it was going to be tight. The time restraint seemed to motivate Asher and Gloria to finish this match once and for all! With their solid serves and diving defense Cowen Park was able to speed to victory in game 3 and claim their well deserved title as champion! Congrats!

With a group hug to start their first game you can tell Airbud is about being a team more than anything else. It is with that team mentality that was able to help take team Airbud to victory. Each player on the team has a specific role that they fill to a T. Jen is the forever running setter trying to make the best play possible, Molly is the defense and moral booster, Keegan runs the net blocking like a maniac, Greg is responsible for any jump bumps that come his way and Alexandra and Brian run the offense as well as solid serves. With a team this deep in talent, it was only time before they were able to call themselves champion. With a close win in the first game Airbud was not going to take a chance of watching their title slip away. With a even larger gap Airbud was again able to take the win and claim the title of Champion! With a team hug to end the match and wristbands to show off their win. Congrats Airbud on a well deserved win!
