Chris Peterson was a rockstar from the get go. He came to Golden Gardens with the coolest sunglasses and great attitude ready to play some volleyball. He started at the first set of matches with intense serves to the opposing team and built up his reputation from there. Chris stayed for the second set of matches and helped bring his team to a 3-0 victory. He was a team player though and through. Way to go Chris! You better bring those awesome sunglasses next week to beat the sun!

Laura Pedersen had an outstanding week for volleyball this week. She, along with her team, came early to get ready and warm up before their 7:30 game. Throughout the three matches, Laura continued to have some awesome serves and blocks that earned her team points! She had great communication with her teammates so passing the ball to each player could return the ball to their opponents. Bring your game face back in two weeks for some team domination Laura! Great job this week!

Troy Terry - Freeballers
Troy Terry had two outstanding games tonight! From the get go, he was determined to block any ball that came his way. If Troy was unable to block the ball, he was still able to smoothly set it to one of his teammates to return to their opponent. His teammates continued to cheer him on throughout the sets because they believed he would help bring their team to victory. With Troy's 'clutch plays', dominating spikes, and serves, the Freeballers won their second game. Way to be aggressive this week Troy!!!

Megan Fitzpatrick was a pepper in today's matches! She constantly had quick hands going for the ball at any moment the ball was coming towards her. Megan seems to be mastering her tips right over the net as well as her dives so the ball doesn't get out of her team's possession! She was also verbal in her playing and her teammates knew when she was going for the ball; communication is good for a successful team. Keep up the great playing Megan and continue to work towards the Champs!

The stylish Matthew Rock wins player of the week during the hectic crowded beach on Monday. Playing with the "best headgear" he had an overall great night, with an abundance of kills, digs, blocks, and great saves. Sometimes people get recognition for their style and sometimes for their performance, but on Monday Matthew receives both. Congrats Mathew!

With his magnificent fro blowing in the glorious summer wind, Matthew was flying all over the court diving for balls and making killer saves. Not to mention the awesome kills that kept coming throughout both of The Transplants' matches. No doubt Matthew was a big part of the Transplant win. Way to go Matthew!!!
