Winter Co-ed Flag Football at Seattle Center Sundays

Kristine Waters played the role of Lofa Tatupu, Marcus Trufant, and Grant Wistrom this past Sunday. Her statline reads like a dream for most defenders. An interception, a safety and four deflected passes.

After two consecutive weeks of nasty weather, old man winter gave all of us here at USL an early Valentines Day present with a day filled with sun shine, blue skies, and warm weather. On this unseasonably dry day, Angie Hopkins led team Fauntleroy Falcons to a stunning victory over team Multiple Scoregasm, 34 to 14. Angie had six receptions, two TDs, and six tackles while enjoying the nice weather. Angie's crowing play was a two cone catch deep down field, then a nice dance move to make the closest defender slip out of his shoes to culminate in a touchdown. Great job Angie and nice move.

In the final week of the Winter Co-ed Sunday Seattle Center flag football league, Carlos Apacible of Big Ass showed what big time performances were all about. In the final minutes of the game Carlos receive a punt at his own goal line, with his team down by five points. Carlos made the entire Danger Hips team miss him as he tip-toed his way down the sideline and into the end zone for the go ahead touchdown and the wind for Big Ass.

Facing the heartbreak of a last second loss, Old Yella looked to Kevin Dornfield to make a big play. After falling behind 22-21, quarterback Luther Moyer led Old Yella down the field and threw the game winning touchdown pass to Dornfield with three seconds remaining for a 28-22 victory.
