In a great Championship game Contract Year was pitted against I'd Hit That. Contract Year came out of their corner swinging....literally! They put up 17 runs in the first 3 innings and never looked back as they stepped on the gas and never let up en route to a decisive 26-15 victory!! Even up by 7 runs going into the final inning they decided to leave nothing to chance and poured on 5 more runs just for good measure. In the victory, nobody was more impressive than Allan Poulsen who not only hit for the cycle in the Championship game, but also recorded the final out of the game with a razzle-dazzle catch on a dead run to seal the victory! Congrats to Contract Year on an impressive win and to Allan Poulsen, MVP of the Championship!!!

It was a great mid-core Championship game as Empty Pitchers squared off with Twist. Both teams came out and sized up each other in the first inning as both posted goose eggs, but by the end of the 3rd Empty Pitchers had jumped out to a 6-1 lead. But Twist came back to briefly take the lead 7-6 and that's all the motivation that Empty Pitchers needed as they responded with 9 unanswered runs over the next two innings which lead to their impressive 16-10 Championship victory! The hero of the game was a man known as "Papa Alex" from Empty Pitchers who's teammates said that he was "playing above his level"....possible backhanded complement? "Papa Alex" went 4-for-5 from the plate as he not only crushed the ball, but was also a black hole at 3rd base. Several times balls were hit hard down the 3rd baseline only to have him rob the batter time after time....don't test "Papa Alex"! Congratulations to Empty Pitchers on their Championship victory and to the man "Papa Alex" for coming up big on the big stage as MVP of the Championship game!!!
