Dig-It.Net showed exactly what Underdog is all about throughout the season. They had a fun time with all of the teams they played and competed all season long. Dig-It.Net had a average regular season, boasting a 3-3 record. From the outside looking in, no one would expect this number 4 seeded team to make the kind of noise that they made in the playoffs. But their competitive drive caught us all by surprise, even the number 1 seeded Notorious D.I.G.
In the semi finals, Dig-It.Net went head to head against Notorious D.I.G. who have been undefeated until the semis. In fact, Dig-It.Net previously lost to Notorious D.I.G. in the regular season. This game was probably the game of the night as they went blow for blow splitting the first two sets. Dig-It.Net displayed a impressive display of will and had a tremendous amount of scrap to them. Dig-It.Net won the last set 23-21 sending them to the finals.
Jeff was incredible tonight showing off his spiking abilities. Jeff could jump with anyone in this league and proved it by jumping over defenders to get to the ball. He had never ending hustle that helped Dig-It.Net all season long. To go along with Jeff was Logan, who completed this dynamic duo of constant running. There was nothing these two could not get to. Logan was flying around the whole court and even getting some spikes of his own. Logan also had some great serving streaks that brought his team back in games and even helped take over games. Meg and Nicole were two awesome players as well. Nicole is probably the best pure passer on the team. She was able to get the ball to Meg who set up the boys all night. Meg was also on some great serving streaks herself!
There was one thing that stood out tonight with Dig-It.net, and that was their constant encouragements and fun humor. Even in a championship game they had the other team laughing and having a good time. I have never seen a happier group lose the championship but who could blame them after playing Dig-it.net.
Thank you for everything you provided in Underdog this season. Come back in the fall and make a run in the indoor volleyball league. You guys are awesome and great to see!

Rocking a 5-1 record in the regular season, Inappropriate Passes were looking to make a splash for the run in the playoffs. Inappropriate Passes only stumbled out of the gate to only regain their balance and spike away the competition.
In the playoffs, Inappropriate Passes displayed what exactly a championship caliber team looks like. Led by arguably the best setter in the Underdog league, Karly was able to give Inappropriate Passes ample opportunities to make plays on the offensive side. Karly had it all when it came to setting. She could bump set, back set, jump set and even pop it up with one hand accurately. Though her sets were dead on every time, someone had to finish it off. That is where Cody would come flying through the air to pound the ball down the other side. Cody is a high flyer and showed his great athleticism throughout the playoffs. Cody was going head to head against the best net defender in the championship game. An amazing battle at first, Cody was able to pull away by using his superior leaping ability to go over the defender. He shot the angles and constantly made the smart play all night. Lorelie, the captain, took care of the middle of the court. Her focus was key as she was able to call the balls and outs. Lorelie's communication was the difference in the close games by being the eyes of the whole team. Her hustle was outstanding tonight and positive attitude kept the team focused and fighting. Last but not least was Kevin, the defensive wiz. Inappropriate Passes were a offensive juggernaut, but Kevin was the reason they kept points off the board. He was able to dig vicious spikes time and time again. Kevin was also able to cover the ground that Lorelie couldn't reach.
Inappropriate Passes' blend of offensive and defensive players is the perfect combination to make many more runs for the Underdog championships. In fact, Inappropriate Passes are taking Underdog by storm already and are getting ready to make some noise in our indoor volleyball league come fall.
Amazing season everyone! You all played like the true champions that you are.
