It was a 70 degree day in October in Seattle, so anything was possible in the championship game featuring the Ragerfish vs Booking Bruisers. As unusual a day as it was weather-wise, the play on the field was equally impressive. Going into the bottom of the 6th inning and trailing by 2 runs, Ragerfish was looking for a spark which came in the form of Jason from Ragerfish just barely beating out a throw at 2nd base. As all the defensive players converged on 2nd base, Jason made the heads-up play and after a brief hesitation bolted to 3rd base nearly uncontested. From there Ragerfish put 8 runs on the board and then held off Booking Bruisers for an impressive 14-9 victory to take home the championship victory!!! Congrats to Ragerfish!

As it should be, the #1 seeded Adversity Overcomers squared off against the #2 Smoldering Remains for the right to be called Underdog Midcore Champions. Fittingly, The Adversity Overcomers had to overcome some early adversity to see their #1 seeding hold true thru the end. Thru the first three innings The Adveristy Overcomers trailed Smoldering Remains and their title hopes looked to be in jeopardy, but then after putting together a rally they went into the final inning up by 2 runs. But championships are not won without a fight as Smoldering Remains answered with 3 runs. Trailing by a run, The Adversity Overcomers were able to once again true to their name as they closed out their season with a 2 run answer to win 14-13!! Congratulations to The Adversity Overcomers on their championship victory on a total team win!!!
