Winter Co-ed Flag Football at Seattle Center Saturdays

In what was billed as "Championship Weekend" in the pros, one player had a Championship level effort that was more than enought to gain Player of the Week honors. That player was Kristen Harris, who picked off a pair of passes on defense and also had a touchdown on offense as she carried Hits Happen to a 33-13 week 2 victory.

Barney had 3 TD'd and 1 INT. The INT was returned for a TD.

In what had to be the game of the day, Chelsea Garret finished off the action by catching the game winning touchdown on the final play as Dawgie Style held off It's Nothing Personal 32-27. It was an incredible finish to a wild game. Dawgie Style jumped out to a 26-6 lead early in the second half and appeared on their way to an easy victory, but Rachel Chen and Shawn Sakuma had other ideas as they led a furious comeback eventually taking a 27-26 lead with about a minute left in the game. But just as it appeared that Dawgie Style was out of gas, they mustered up one last drive to save the day. It was tough to see either team come up with a loss after this one, but both teams can be proud of their efforts.

While quarterback Shaun Baker got all the glory in the championship game, it was Jamie Parent's great defense in the semi-final round that helped Crosswired make it to the title game. Jamie had an incredible flag-pull that was the difference between a game-tying score and advancing to the next round.
