Spring Co-ed Flag Football at Juanita HS Tuesdays

In their biggest win of the young season, Shake N Bake looked nearly flawless in a 38-12 victory. Leading the way was Behrouz Hadi, who had four touchdown passes and two interceptions. Shake N Bake clearly looked like the most improved team from week 1 to week 2 and if they continue to improve, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

From the first minute of the game, Jason Durbin led Last Minute Team on Tuesday. The key play of the game was late in the first half, after Team America had just scored on its third touchdown pass. Leading 18-14, Team America decided to go for two and on the pass, Jason intercepted the ball and ran it all the way back for the defensive two-pointer and giving all the momentum to Last Minute Team. On the ensuing drive, Jason caught a long bomb for another 6, and added a two point conversion and LMT was well on their way to victory.

In one of the best performances of the season, Warrick "Rome" McDowell led the Gators to an impressive 53-34 victory. Warrick got Player of the Week honors by intercepting three passes and also having three touchdowns. Rome and the rest of the gang now look to the playoffs next week where they will test their mettle against the best of the rest of Tuesday Nights.

This weeks player of the week for the Juanita Co-Ed league on Tuesday is Jamie Campbell of the Gators. She had a touchdown catch and a huge interception that changed the momentum of the game and helped her team upset the Last Minute Team to make it to the championship game. Jaime has been an impact player for the Gators all season and really stood out in the playoffs and the semi-final game. Congrats Jaime!
