Lane Rangers
Picture this: A bowler comes to the line, surveys the land, sets up, rolls his ball with perfect spin back to the middle, and nails a solid strike. Now picture him rolling the ball between his legs! We don't go in for a lot of cheap parlour tricks in BTB, but this is no trick- apparently Jason Price practices this regularly, and is quite good at it. Jason claims that his team makes him do this for their own amusement and enjoyment during an evening of bowling and he's happy to oblige. They must have been quite amused Wednesday night, as Jason performed the feat at least four or five times. The result? Try a 202 in his first game. Cheap parlour trick, we think not.

POTW: David Sceppa
Pinstalkers
Fade up: A young man signs up for a Kickball team as an independent player. Let's call him David Sceppa. He has a good season and signs up again, but has an injury that cuts his season short. What now? He signs up for bowling as an individual of course. After another season, the Indy team becomes solidified. Cut to: Wednesday night, David leads his once unknown Indy team to a victory over a past season's championship team, bowling games of 195 and 149, with open frames few and far between. Fade out. Ya gotta love an Underdog.

POTW: Heather Klingele
Gutterballs
Heather Klingele rocked the bells Wednesday night at Sunset. She brought the original cold crush groove with her, and flipped the script on the bowling lanes. She dropped it like it was hot, but also chilled till the next episode. Several suckas were frontin', but Heather wasn't tryin to hear that, see. Indeed, in the end, she was chillin' like Bob Dylan, relaxin like Michael Jackson, and fresh like John Tesh. Excuse us- make that: fricka- fricka- fressssssssh.

POTW: Tom Blogget
Nice Knockers
Perhpas it was all a dream... or was it? Tom "Funny Nickname" Blogget shook the BTB world to it's core Wednesday night, putting up a personal best that pulled the foundations of the sport of Bowling itself into question. It was a bowling feast, befitting a king, and it's aftershocks were felt in Zeus's heavens on down to Poseidon's triton. One cannot know what awesome bowling god (or demon?) possesed Tom so that he rawked so hard it hurt, but the fact remains that his name will now be forever etched into the pantheon of BTB demi-gods, and forever scorched into the ever shifting plates of an unsuspecting earth.

Bowlin Dirty
It was late. Time was running out for Bowlin Dirty to find some extra girls for their team, or they would have to forfeit. So they made an emergency call to their bullpen and five minutes later, the mystery bowler known only as "Danyell" showed up. It didn't take long for all to see that Danyell was a heavy hitter, as she quietly threw down games of 156 and 151. But just as hse appeared, she was gone, like a phantom in the night. Her scores and legacy remain, but who was this mystery bowler? We may never know for sure...

See you at Recess Bitches
There are champions and then there are Underdog champions. Just ask Garee Brackett of See You At Recess Bitches. On closing night, with nothing left to play for except fun, Garee's whole team ditched out on the second game (lame!). But not Garee- he was determined to get his entertainment dollar's worth and have a good time- to hell with everything else. So Garee took on his entire opposing team, The Lane Rangers, on his own- bowling four simultaneous games complete with league lane changes and all. He almost won, too- coming within 3 pins of a victory! To be sure, Garee's performance doesn't jive with the standard BTB scoring rules and regulations, but on closing night fun and Underdogs rule. By the way, Garee's nomination for POTW came from none other than his opponents- The Lane Rangers. Here's to another greta season of Turkeys and Underdogs!
