Bring The Pain
On a soggy opening day, Brendan helped 'bring it' as Bring the Pain nicked up the Cannon Kings 24-14. Despite holding an umbrella in one hand, Lawrence was a force on both offense and defense. Nice work Brendan.

FDA
Up against the daunting task of putting together a drive to salvage their week two game against Bring The Pain, trailing 18-12, FDA drove the ball downfield and scored the game tying touchdown with very little time left on the clock. Then Pete Baker stepped up to the task and caught the game winning 1-point conversion, making the difference between a tie and a win. Congrats to Pete and the rest of FDA.

Bad News Bears-Indy #1
In what was viewed by many as an upset, Indy #1 pulled away from the Marauders 26-14. Leading the way was quarterback Jared Kunkel, who did a fine job of managing the game and then taking over late. With his team leading 20-14 and facing a defense with some major momentum after getting an interception on the previous possession, Jared took matters into his own hands, tucking the ball down and running 30 yards for the game sealing touchdown.

Just the tip
In a quintessential example of football brilliance, Chris Grady put on an offensive and defensive clinic in a 32-26 victory for Just the tip over the Cannon Kings. On offense, Chris quarterbacked his team to two touchdown passes and on defense he was equally stellar as he garnered two huge sacks that changed the course of the game in Just the tips favor.

Just the tip
In their most important win of the season, Chris Grady really stepped up his game in leading his team to a 21-14 victory. Grady had two huge sacks, both of which were instrumental in holding the usually strong offense in check for most of the game. While his constant pressure on the QB was outstanding, the best play Chris made came with his team leading 14-6 late. Chris intercepted a pass near his teams endzone and took it all the way back for what proved to be the game winner.

After breezing by in the opening round, Team Douchebag ran into some stiff competition in Bring The Pain in the 2nd round. After taking a late 25-19 lead, Team Douchebag needed a big play on defense to carry them into the next round. Johnny on the spot was Zane Shiras who made a game sealing interception just in the nick of time to preserve the win.

POTW: Shawn Brady
Team Douchebag
With all due respect to Damon Burch and all the other worthy candidates, Player of the Week goes to the man who was involved in a number of huge plays that made the difference in an extremely narrow 27-26 championship game victory for Team Douchebag. Shawn Brady had two interceptions including a key interception late. On offense, Shawn made his impact when his team needed him most as he scored the game winning touchdown with 12 seconds left to go.
