Ball me Maybe
They that watched Ball me Maybe play on this glorious night may have witnessed the greatest play ever in Underdog Kickball history. Nicole playing right field was heard chasing a sinking liner that looked to sure split her and the right center fielder but as the ball began to slice back across her body she athletically dove back against her momentum to make a beautiful diving grab all the while losing her very hair(wig) from her head. When I approached her to award her player of the game, she humbly replied oh, I had a horrible game at the plate. That type of response shows how into the game she really is!

Monica G.
DocuSign Ballers
Monica had a great evening of kickball on both sides of the ball. Her defense at shortstop was impressive. She was making spectacular catches, nailing runners and even had a sweet unassisted double play to end the a rally by the Groovy Beats. Her kicking was equally impressive--going 4 for 4 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Just a complete effort.

Zack Cunningham
Zack Cunningham
Balls Against Humanity
Zack was fired-up on Thursday and made probably the best catch of the week--one that kept his team in the game at the time. He had to cover a tremendous amount of ground from left field into center, then had to dive/slide to wrap up the ball, rolling and tumbling and nearly throwing to first for a double play. He added some big kicks as well, but unfortunately his team came up short [although Zack's effort on both sides of the ball definitely did not!]

Alex Polzin
Alex Polzin
Nathan and Friends
Alex Polzin is undoubtedly the player of the week. Alex brought the brightest spirit to both of his games in a doubleheader on Thursday. With his cheery demeanor and hilarious antics, Alex induced smiles from all players involved. In fact, Alex was so dedicated to perfecting his "follow-through" motion throughout the night, that he spent time practicing it between games. Practice indeed made perfect -- as Alex knocked home a couple RBIs to help his team glide to two consecutive victories. For all of these reasons and more, Alex is our player of the week.

Maggie Conlon
Maggie Conlon
Ball me Maybe
Maggie was the epitome of competitiveness and sportsmanship. While a couple of calls could have gone either way against her at critical moments, she expressed her disagreement with the calls but continued to play with her head about her, never getting rid of her million dollar smile. With her team uncharacteristically struggling to make plays in the field, she seemed to right the ship in both games played by making great catches and heads up plays at second base. but above all that, Maggie was a terror at the plate and on the base path's as she helped engineer two big run deficit comebacks to win the championship!
